Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy which uses a holistic approach to health and focuses on the neuromusculoskeletal system. Osteopathic philosophy states that a whole person approach is key in optimal health and well-being & aims support the body's own self healing ability. 

The aim is to find the cause of the issue and is targeted for musculoskeletal pain, dysfunction, injury & rehabilitation, whilst calming the body systems. 

Treatment is tailored to the individual and uses a combination of techniques including High velocity low amplitude (HVLA),  postural/ergonomic assessment, massage, dry needing, myofascial cupping , Muscle energy techniques (MET) Trigger Point Therapy, articulation, active release techniques, rehabilitation programs/exercises, diet and lifestyle advice. 

I can also work with your GP or other allied health professionals as part of your health management team. 

Paediatric Osteopathy  

Children’s osteopathy is a gentle, hands-on approach to healthcare that focuses on supporting the healthy growth and development of infants, children, and adolescents. Using light touch techniques to assess and improve the function of the body’s muscles, joints, and connective tissues, helping to relieve discomfort, improve movement, and support the body’s natural ability to heal.
