Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy which uses a holistic approach to health and focuses on the neuromusculoskeletal system. Osteopathic philosophy states that a whole person approach is key in optimal health and well-being & aims support the body's own self healing ability.
The aim is to find the cause of the issue and is targeted for musculoskeletal pain, dysfunction, injury & rehabilitation, whilst calming the body systems.
Treatment is tailored to the individual and uses a combination of techniques including High velocity low amplitude (HVLA), postural/ergonomic assessment, massage, dry needing, myofascial cupping , Muscle energy techniques (MET) Trigger Point Therapy, articulation, active release techniques, rehabilitation programs/exercises, diet and lifestyle advice.
I can also work with your GP or other allied health professionals as part of your health management team.
